Two migrant construction workers climbed on top of a crane in a construction site in Beit Shemesh. They threatened suicide, claiming they haven’t been paid in months. Sadly, these men symbolize the all-too-common struggles of foreign workers in Israel who have their basic rights violated while the state turns a blind eye. Particularly, withholding of migrant workers’ wages is a phenomenon that has been witnessed in the past years.
