A worker that has been fired from their job after at least one year of work for the same employer, or at the same place of work, is entitled to severance pay.
A worker that has been fired adjacently to the completion of a year of work for their employer, will also be entitled to severance pay, as this dismissal would be considered an avoidance to pay severance.
