Kav LaOved (KLO) warmly congratulates Hanna Zohar on receipt of her honorary doctorate from Tel Aviv University.
Zohar, an activist and a rare visionary, founded Kav LaOved, recruited talented people and established a brave and determined organization, which has changed the labor market in Israel. Thanks to the work of Hannah Zohar and the Kav LaOved team, the most vulnerable workers have been seen and heard. Issues such as exploitative employment of Israeli workers and the labor rights of migrants, Palestinians and asylum seekers were placed squarely on the tables of decision makers and translated into a new reality that recognizes and protects their rights.
Zohar’s tremendous work continues to resonate today as KLO marks 30 years since its inception, and her contribution is valued and respected for its deep and lasting investment in all workers employed in Israel.
