This study details the many occupational health risks to which over 60,000 migrant caregivers  in Israel and in West Bank settlements are exposed.  It also  highlights that Israeli authorities have not taken care to organise or require the provision of information and trainings to migrant caregivers, necessary to ensure their own protection when handling dangerous materials, lifting elderly people and in other dangerous situations they encounter daily in their jobs. As a result of this neglect many migrant caregivers in Israel suffer from preventable illnesses that often go untreated, therefore leading to irreparable damages and chronic diseases. The report also finds that migrant caregivers encounter serious obstacles accessing healthcare services because of language, cultural, systemic and bureaucratic obstacles which affect the prevention, early assessment and cure of occupational related illnesses.  The report includes clear recommendations for change addressed to the government and other stakeholders.
